Privacy Policy

Fetch Study (“Fetch”) is an AI study app for students, made by Augustine Ventures LLC (“we”). This policy explains what we collect, why, who helps us run Fetch, and the choices you have. Short version: we use your school info only to help you study, we never sell it, and you can delete everything at any time.

What we collect

• Account info: your email address, or the basic profile Google shares when you use “Continue with Google” (name and email). You can also use Fetch as a guest without any of these.
• School connections you choose to add: your grades portal (like Home Access Center or StudentVUE) username and password, or a Canvas access token. These are encrypted and stored in a secure vault and are only used to sync your information.
• School information we sync for you: your name as your school lists it, classes, teachers, grades, assignments, due dates, attendance, report cards and transcripts, and Canvas pages, instructions and class files.
• Things you create in Fetch: chats with Fetch, flashcards, quizzes, study plans, reminders, files you upload, quiz answers you submit, and your profile picture.
• App info: answers from the quick setup quiz (like your study goal and reminder time), a notification token if you turn on notifications, basic usage of AI features (to keep costs fair), and crash reports.
• Purchases: if you buy Fetch Plus, Apple or Google handle the payment. We only receive whether your subscription is active — never your card details.

How we use it

• To show your grades, homework and planner, and keep them up to date.
• To answer your questions and make flashcards, quizzes and study plans from your own class materials.
• To send reminders and alerts you turn on.
• To keep Fetch secure, fix bugs and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your information, show ads, or use your school information for advertising. We do not use your data to train AI models.

Who helps us run Fetch

We share information only with services that help us run Fetch, and only what they need:

• Supabase — hosting, database, file storage and sign-in.
• Google (Gemini API) — AI that reads your question and the relevant class materials to write an answer, flashcards, quizzes or plans. Google Sign-In if you choose it.
• RevenueCat, Apple and Google — manage Fetch Plus subscriptions.
• Expo — delivers push notifications.
• Sentry — crash reports (no grades or chat content).

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect someone’s safety.

Your school’s information

Fetch is not made by or affiliated with your school, district, Home Access Center, StudentVUE, Canvas or any other school system. You choose what to connect, and you can disconnect at any time from Me → School. Fetch only reads information you could already see yourself.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while you use Fetch. On the free plan, class files are removed 7 days after a class ends (your notes, flashcards and quizzes stay). When you delete your account (Me → Delete account), we delete your account, school connections and saved school logins, synced data, files, chats, study sets and plans. Backups are cleared within 30 days.

Kids and teens

Fetch is for students 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 is using Fetch, contact us and we will delete the account. If you are under 18, please use Fetch with your parent or guardian’s permission.

Your choices

• See and update your information in the app.
• Disconnect a school system at any time.
• Turn notifications on or off in Me or your phone’s settings.
• Delete your account and data at any time in Me → Delete account.
• Ask us for a copy of your data or ask a privacy question at support@fetchstudy.com.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, school logins are encrypted in a secure vault, and each student can only access their own data. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a strong password.
